When the white frost blankets the earth; and all seems frozen, uncertain, immoveable and impenetrable…
He is enough.
When the sky is so thick in grey, clouds, sun, stars, and moon, seem to hide and play games. You know they are there, but you can’t quite see clear….
He is enough.
When voices taunt, people try to squash the power of His great name, all tides have receded, and a tsumani of some sort is about to overtake you…
He is enough.
When those who you thought were friends betray you, when the questions ring so loud, all sound is deafening. When the messages become squewed and there doesn’t seem to be answers…
He is enough.
When the morning light cries out, hoping to be seen, but the darkness shouts and lies swirl around in places fear has bound you. When the night is so long and yet, the daybreaks too early…
He is enough.
When your heart deeply aches for what used to be, memories come flashing, like lightening unending. When the stories in your mind reel, of who you were and what might have been…
He is enough.
When bitterness flares like an untamed stallion in the depths of your soul, betrayal scales, and offense lays thick against those who have failed you…
He, He is enough.
He is enough when your story is yet untold. He is enough when memories take hold, and dreams cling tight to the unknown, gasping for their every single breath.
When the faces and names come plastering themselves in front of eyes weakened by fear, a heart passive, doubtful, or insecure….
He, He is enough.
The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Like a thief, disguised as beauty, he robs God’s most prized possessions.
He loves to anchor us to fear, hinder us with lies, make us doubt somewhere deep inside, the character and heart of God.
But most of all, the distortion comes when we add or take away from God. When we subtract His goodness, doubt His faithfulness, questions His love for us.
But friends, He, He is enough.
Lies come when God doesn’t feel like enough; so we add money, our own pride, or other people. We contribute to God, our own intelligence, power, or some worldly philosophy or idea….
Substituting out one part, for another part of God; picking and choosing what rations that at the moment might appease us.
Yet, dear one…
A God made in our own, man-orchestrated image, is in fact, no God at all.
A God who can mold and morph and will tortion to what WE feel is comfortable or acceptable, is really no diety.
God is light and love, fully God, yet came as man. God is Jesus incarnate. A God of peace, yet fierce in battle, full of victory and supremacy.
Jesus came to fully love, heal, but also to conquer death. He rose on the third day and was the only one who claims to be a savior in the flesh.
So, either we lean, cleave, depend, and fully believe on Jesus or we doubt, making him crippled, sickly, incapable or some liar of a man who was delusional, saying He was God, when He was not.
We can take this compartmentalized Jesus and add to Him, when deception tricks us into thinking we need anything or anyone added to Him to satisfy our needs or get us through the day.
But, He alone is all-encompassing, all-fulfilling, completely sufficient, a wholly perfect king.
Friends, Jesus is enough.
He is enough when you feel depleted, lack resources, have no strength or feel weary.
He is enough when our soul feels empty, when you cling to worldly supports, head spinning or have lost your identity.
He is enough when the ache just won’t quit, when it feels like you are running, but your life isn’t going anywhere.
He is enough when daily duties wear and grind at you, when the world says what you are doing is foolish or pety.
He is enough, as the frost lifts, the sky opens, the night makes way for the break of the sun rising over the mountains…
He is enough when trumpets sound, a white horse rides in, and all of earth bows down.
He is enough when the saints join heaven singing, “Holy holy”, when the final battle rages and amidst our bold speaking, the testimony He has given us.
He is enough; now, yesterday, and forever.
Whatever your going through today friends…
Jesus. He is enough.

Mighty strong encouragement Jenger!!
He is enough, indeed….no matter what.
A wonderful reminder.
Amen, and amen! Jesus is the answer. He is enough (where did I ever get the idea that I need to be or do or act or provide?–I just need to depend).
