With Christmas coming ever closer. And the enemy working overtime to steal, kill, and destroy. I thought it appropriate to highlight what Jesus came for.
I mean, so many celebrate His coming. Nativity. Christmas Carols. Children singing…
But do we really stop. Look. And listen to the heartbeat of the holiday?
And not just Jesus coming. But that He had a purpose to His birth. It wasn’t just to die, but to redeem the entire earth….
From all the evil that seems to consume it now.
And apart from God. We are like unchained stars. Floating aimlessly through the galaxy. Like wandering soldiers. Combing the desert. Of our own deficiencies.
And isn’t it true, that once we get it. Really get it. We get grounded. UNITED. Connected to the concrete that doesn’t flounder. In skies unleashed. Hearts left wandering.
Evil and it’s effects (fear, worry, anxiety, strife) have absolutely no grip. When UNITED with God…through the blood of Jesus.
And if you wander this season. Are seeped in uncertainty. Riddled with Questions. Feel lost and alone. Or abandoned with worry….
Look to. Trust. And believe in Jesus.
- He is the reason for the season.
- The reason for this…and so many other faith filled blogs.
- The reason we can UNITE with God.
- The reason each creature has a chance to be redeemed.
- The reason we have hope, regardless of how it seems.
So, I urge you my friend, as Christmas get’s close. UNITE with us? UNITE with Christ who gave himself on the cross.
Our featured blog from last week’s link up is, “Blue Cotton Memory, the faith, love, & politics of raising boys”.
The author is a scripture lover! A deep thinker. One who won’t just present a thought, but will lay out the what’s, why’s, and how’s.
Blue Cotton Memory is in the middle of a three part series! (Gotta love series) It will pull you into the heart of a ton of fun characters in the Bible. Revealing a refreshing truth that we all need to hear…
“It’s o.k. if you aren’t perfect.”
The series is called, Frayed Threads In The Tapestry of God: A Christmas Geneology Part 2. Looking forward to Part 3. It’s gonna be good!
Come by Blue Cotton Memory and find that maybe our brokenness has a purpose. A plan. A reason. Maybe our brokenness is what draws us close to Him.

Amen Jen…Neither death nor life~whether we live or die; nothing can separate us from God’s love…He won’t ever let us go! Only through our faith in God’s power and strength, can we climb and soar above this tragedy and the doubts and questions we may have.
Blessings sweet lady for a joyful and Merry Christmas,
Denise
“Unchained stars” really got to me. It’s amazing to think about how the stars are chained even though we don’t see them. In this world, we do not see a tangible tether to God, and yet, in some ways, we do. People can tell by our words and demeanor whom we belong to!
Denise – Yes, my friend. May we climb and soar above this tragedy!
Jen – Oh what a great anchor He is, huh, my friend!?
Oh, I’m so thankful that He has overcome the darkness of this world… And through the shed blood of Jesus, satan has NO eternal power over those united with Him. I love John 16:33:1
Thanks for coming by today and thanks so much for hosting UNITE!
Blessings to you ~ Mary
Mary – Thanks for sharing the promise of His word today, my friend!
