Where are they? I scan the internet for hours. Researching for a blog post….
But I do not find them.
Squeaky Wheels only. Sharing their opinions….while all the Christian’s have gone silent.
MIA. In other words….Missing In Action.
Shuffling in my seat. Discontent fills the room. Each site that I click on. Has radical views….
While the Christian….no….the Biblical view….Suffocates from the world’s pushing and prodding and ridicule. No hope of coming up for air.
And I get that we are His mouthpieces. And that we are to be kind. And loving. And slow to offend and speak.
But yet, when it came to Jesus life and mission and ministry….My understanding was that Christians are to be light-bearers of Truth.
Am I wrong? Please tell me.
And that fear of man shouldn’t shrink us in a corner. Offering blind folds to real problems. Muting us. Intimidating us. Scaring us into submission….to the world.
Isn’t that what Jesus died for?
Truth? Or….
- Did He die that lies might spread and we not stop them?
- Or sins might flare & truth not quench them?
- Or that pain may prevail and us not offer…the balm of Gilead….as medicine to hurting souls?
Where was Jesus when the world around Him was slowly dwindling?
- In a synagogue resting?
- Hiding His eyes from pain….or witnessing?
- Out in the world speaking.…the truth of His Word, the Light of His Life, the Goodness of His ways? Unapologetically.
And I have seen….far too many times….
- The enemy trying to lull us asleep. Like the disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane.
- The sin of apathy. Like Adam. Who said nothing. When Eve was sinning. (Taking the fruit from the forbidden tree.)
And do the enemies schemes change? I mean….really?
Why have we become like them….
- The Sleeping?
- The Silent one’s letting the world slowly consume….what is forbidden?
While the internet and the world’s atmosphere fills slowly with lies and sins and a pleading….for us to jump into the world. Yet, Christians sit back. And say nothing.
Is it because it’s easier to….
- Close our eyes?
- Sit in our pews?
- Walk on eggshells in this painfully broken world?
….Instead of opening up our mouths and speaking boldly Christian views. No…not our Christian views….but Christ’s view. The truth. In love.
And the problem I see with this, “Speak the truth in love thing”? Isn’t the love….or lack of it. It isn’t the truth….because we know it. It’s the speaking part. And the “fear of man” that keeps us from preaching….and pointing….and professing….
The way. His way. The hope that the world keeps looking for. Instead of sitting. Sleeping. Paralyzed in fear. Afraid to offend. Just wanting to look like good Christians. (Yes, I am so guilty of this too)
Unruffled. Unsqueezed. Unpressed by the pressing needs suffocating those around us. Those most vulnerable.
But yet, Jesus confronted. He dealt with the sin and brought healing through His ministry….
Where is our ministry? Where is the healing that comes from His living? Our living? Living out a bold gospel on the fringe of a world that is not quite so apologetic?
Could it be we need Jesus to spit on and touch our mute tongues? Or put His fingers in our ears so we can hear….
The collapse of the world that is going on…..all around us.
Where is our mat of complacency we sit on? Could we find it, so our friends can lift us down. Into the roof of the world and the crowds. Don’t we simply need Jesus to heal us? Our paralyzed state…..
So that we can go into the world and be more than His hands and feet…..
But His mouth….that speaks….the most powerful, life changing, unaltering truth that will ever be found.
In hopes that people can be free……Instead of drowning in their sin of complacency.
Like Adam. Our forefather…..
And me.

Well put together argument. And I agree, there needs to be more thought out Christians telling the truth. And when I take a moment, I can usually see that side of all the noise in the world, the thing is that the human side, or even the devil side, is extremely loud, because they don’t have God telling them to wait and think before speaking – and all that time they should be thinking is spend yelling more into the chaos.
I liked hearing your take! And hope there are more and more Christians willing to say what the Lord is leading them to say – in words and actions.

Thank you. I’ve asked myself some of these same questions just this morning. Thank God mercy abounds.
Marissa – Absolutely the truth! The loud clanging vs. the quiet hush of the whisper that can be as loud as thunder. So agree to that our actions speak multitudes…if we let them.
Gayle – Yes, amen. His mercy awaits us all…if we receive it.
Great post! I have thought the same things of late.
Pamela – So glad to know I am not alone in my thinking. ๐
Oh wow! God is SO good! I’ve been questioning a post I made on a local mommy board today. Tired of the lies and abuse about CFA, I voiced my opinion respectfully, lovingly. But I got SLAMMED. Yep. Then my post and all the responses were removed from the site. Wow. Just wow. So I wondered if I did more damage than good? Was Jesus proud or shaking His head? I did receive two emails from readers saying they agreed with me and felt this mommy site is intolerant of Christians and any time someone presents our view our posts get locked out. Thank you for your post…kinda a hug from Jesus telling me I am on the right track. We are loosing our voice in America and that is just not OK with me.
Would love if you’d join my Tuesday Destination: Inspiration linky party.

Michelle – Been there. And it’s horrible. I can sympathize & relate to your questioning. Sadly I have found the truth does not always equal popularity. (I lost a few followers in just posting this. Lol) However, God’s people must continue to cry out….boldly, lovingly…as Jesus would have done. So glad He used my post to confirm this to you today. Bless you! And yes, I will definitely stop by.
P.S. Thanks for sharing my post! ๐
I’ve actually found that there are lots of Christians using the internet to fearlessly share the truth of the Gospel, however they are hard to find. I think it’s just one more way Satan is trying to silence us. We’re there, Satan just doesn’t want anyone to know about it.
Heather – You are right, there are Christian’s out there, but for some reason they are hard to find. Where are the unshakeable, uncompromising, relentless love seekers of truth!? I am searching & praying…and trying to find it in myself also. Waking up from my sleeping state, being unafraid to preach Christ. And truth. By grace…may He help us.
