So, here is the my attempt at writing for five minutes flat. The challenge given by Gympy Mama.
- Write…..For five minutes flat. No extreme editing; no worrying about perfect grammar, font, or punctuation.
- Unscripted. Unedited. Real. All on the same prompt that I post here at 1 minute past midnight EST ever Friday.
- Write and see what comes out. There’s no right or wrong.
The prompt word today is, “path”. Here we go. Let’s see how this turns out. Ready. Set. Go…..
Narrow is the path that leads to life, wide is the path that leads away.
Oh, how I have taken the wrong path and too often ran away….from the narrow way.
Yet, He stands front and center. Hems us with love. And calls us each forward…into His path of Love.
And I rejoice as I look and see His path stable, while life all around can be paths to terrible fates.
And His path is Holy. His path alone sure. His purposes perfect. His path only good.
Then, why do we run from Him? Why do we turn? To the right or the left….when His path is forever sure….
Leading to redemption. To repentance and joy. His path is the purpose that brings peace undeserved.
And His gate….always open….saying, “Come rest in me.”
“And follow my path….for it’s your way….
To life. And freedom!”
Whewww!! That went by quick. Well, hopefully honed my writing skills, despite my struggle to find words. That was fun! Thanks Gypsy Mama!

Yes!
‘Hems us with love.’ I love those words!
Linda – So thankful His Word says that He hems us in! How good is our God!
