I hear tales of world ending. People panicking.
Fear for Economy. People losing jobs and homes.
The Word douses fear….
Yet, fear’s spirit gripping others…..like a steal cage. Paralyzing.
And I know how they feel…cause I have been there…once before.
From living a full Life in Christ. The exchange…faith rise…for fears hopes to shatter faith rise attempts.
And I call a friend for instruction. Thankful for the iron that sharpens well.
Hear from the front seat….her husband shout…
“Stand Strong”…..though he didn’t hear the question.
Still people’s fears try to make me question….the goodness of our God…..as stocks fall and temperatures rise in Israel.
Call to insurance company. Stranger on the phone repeating her instructed welcome.
And I had forgotten….our insurances new motto…..until she says the words so certain….
“Stand Strong”.
Dangling keys of hope instilled in me from Bible reading. Praising faith alive…
I drive one last errand before returning home.
Then, I see it….On a car. Doubling back around. The words flag me down and grip me…
“Live Strong”.
Then, today….leadership meeting….I hear….
“Today is a day of courage”.
One woman of faith rallying others away from fear.
Going home.
His message surfacing….clear.
Live Strong. Be Strong. Faith rise within. Do not shrink back. Live boldly for Christ….
As I close my eyes……and rest on sweet pillow of content.

Great encouragement Jen – there is so much going on in the world that lends itself to fear. But God’s word says otherwise. He is our strength and no matter what it looks like – He is in control and will look after His own.

Stand strong. It reminds me of Joshua 1:9, the verse I’m memorizing with my 16-yr-old this week:
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”
