Water rises in lives of uncertainty.
And I see it…
People clinging to anything…
Everything they can find.
Tangible things to keep them safe.
Yet, water comes without restraint. Washing away disposable things.
Accessing cracks of impurities, under doors slammed shut to the Lord and his ways.
Breaking down walls.
And how His grace…when it comes….does not drip….
But floods into dark places.
Cold places. Places long sealed….restricted from His love.
Yet, he loves us enough to not let us be.
As water pour forth…in Him I see.
Love.
Love washing away…..
Us.
Like a child searching for treasures in the sand.
He strains us gently so that we can stand…
Weightless.
Without clumps of clay.
Pure…
Before the Holy of Holiest of places.
And it says….
“He has called us to be Holy….for He is Holy”.
And I recall, Paul’s last request….
Sanctification.
Free from lives weak with temptation.
Clinging to Maker.
Strained from impurities…
So that all that will be left….
A people….of faith.
Untarnished….Washed pure….
In His hand of Grace.

I love this image — being strained of our impurities. This metaphor makes it seem so natural, free from condemnation. Beautiful.

What a phenomenol post. How beautifully written and illustrated. I love the way water flows in all directions to cover dry land, sometimes like our souls. I’ll be back to read more.
