I remember when I lived in the city. Gun shots blasting. Prostitutes walking. People honking. A life so foreign to now. ….Unsaved. Unchanged, by the power of His love..the truth of His Word.
How?
How could I get from there to here? …A country setting. Pond. Fields. Horses. Homeschooling. Teaching. Loving. Learning. Growing. Family. Friends. Nestled on hope, abiding in His arms, secure in goodness.
God!
What other way? From ashes to beauty. Not in theory, but reality. Where does the weak become strong? The hopeless find hope? The least of these, the lowliest among us…find family and freedom?
The Cross!
Only the cross! Our earthly life not afraid to be lost.
Not theology or stoic religious setting. Or walking the walk though plagued in heart….With doubt. Or fear. Or earthly roles, put on for man. To appease the world.
Only Him!
Who can take the blind and make them see? The hungry beggar, set them free? Mary Magdalene’s? Most irreverent? Standing the crippled to their feet.
Who does that?
Defend the guilty, adulterous one? Saying those without sin, cast the first stone.
Protect the innocent? Draw out the lonely? Give hope to the helpless? Make whole the broken? Heal the sick among us? Make strong the weakest?
Christ…only Christ!
