Can I do it today?
Surrender.
Make a stake and forget the cost.
Count all as loss.
Remember His promise, to see us through. Despite the clues that say, “It’s crazy.”
Maybe, just maybe I say, that’s o.k. I like it this way. The gain. The privilege, the fruit I see.
Not in earning, gaining, or entertaining…but giving up the flesh in me.
The door opens.
They are here. The crowd.
Waiting, hoping for more than words.
It’s Him, only Him that’s brought them here.
I shed a tear, that a broken vessel used by Him could be His hands and feet.
I know no answer.
To Him I point. Only Him.
He is the light.
The truth. My delight.
So I surrender again.
This moment. This hour. I say, “Lord, it’s yours.”
I seek more than your power. I want your way, despite the cost. I give it all.
I count all else loss…
