An Encounter with a Stranger on the Corner

Major intersection. Cars racing by.  We turn and look.  Spotting strangest sight. A man with a horn. Dressed in unconventional style. Signs announcing….. Jesus the Savior.  Curiosity drives us to question and see.          We spot a truck covered in scripture.                 Words declaring.                        The love of Christ. I stop in awe.  Speaker blaring…..Boldly declaring….How much we need […]

Second Chances

I awake and say…. Today is a Second Chance. A chance to live for Him… Not the world. A chance to shut down technology and delve into The Word. A chance to say, I am sorry. Start new. A chance to embrace others in all I do. A chance to laugh more…         Hug more.              Smile […]

A Desert:: The Perfect Place to Worship

We grab the end of summer by the reigns. Get away. Just us girls. A time to refresh. Reflect. See family. Be family. Away from it all.                        Dishes.                                     Chores.                                                    Home.                                                               Frustrations raveling around us like vines pulling us away… To something. Anything…..other than Christ. And my list of “need to do’s”….. A mile long.    Ignored. Happily. […]

Head to wide open…..                Where He speaks through all creation. Even the trees beckon….                 As they reach with limbs of yearning. Calling through […]

When Faith Smothers Fear

Rumors fly by like nasty bugs unswattable on a hot summers eve. And the naysayers keep forcing their self-promoting ways, like bullfrogs croaking loudly before sleep. And people are fleeing.                             Walking away from homes.                                                                 And families.                                                                             And hope.                                                                                              ….Everything they have worked for, for years. And it rises in many around….. Dreaded fear.  Like Chinese Torture….it comes […]

“Ruach?”

And the weight of weekend gone by grips me…Yet, I open Breath of Life faithfully.  Not out of passion or calling….but obedience. I find dry bones in Ezekiel.        Representing dry carcass of Adam in Genesis…And how…. God “Breathed” life into them. I see “breath”in the Hebrew.  The word being, “Ruach”. It’s meaning?  Spirit.  “Ruach Elohim”….Holy Spirit. […]
